Actinic Keratosis (AK) – Precancerous Condition
- Summary: Rough, scaly patches on sun-exposed areas (face, ears, hands). Caused by chronic UV exposure and may progress to squamous cell carcinoma (SCC).
- Prevention: Use broad-spectrum sunscreen, wear protective clothing, avoid peak sun hours.
- Treatment: Cryotherapy, topical creams (5-fluorouracil, imiquimod), photodynamic therapy, or curettage.
